My Family

My Precious Family

I've organized some pictures of my family so we know who is who. Since these pictures were taken we have lost a few members and we have gained a few members, so some of these pictures are irreplaceable for me. The joys of being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are feats I am most extremely proud of and I am more then willing to brag about them...lol

This picture was taken in August of 2004 when all the members of my family were still with us.

Back row: Dawn, Derek, Dave, Dale
Front: Shannon & Claude

At this time in my life I was a mother of four, and a grandmother of four. These pictures were taken on August 4, 2004 at my son Derek's home. I had wanted family pictures for a long time, so I asked my brother John Picard-Madden if he would be my photographer and he agreed. He did a wonderful job taking these photo of me and my family and I thank him wholeheartedly because this was my last family picture with my entire family.

My Children and their family

Dale and June

This is a pic of my eldest son with his wife June and his two boy, James on the left and Andy on the right. Dale was is a truck driver and June just finished a three year college education majoring in marketing and accounting. She graduated on the Dean's list in 2003 from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology. James was enrolled in secondary school and Andy was a grade 10 student attending Roland Michener High School in South Porcupine, On.

This was the last picture of the whole family.

Dave & Anna

This is my second eldest son David with his wife Anna and their two daughters Crystal on the right and Keisha on the left. Anna was Dave's soulmate and he absolutely adored her. They met at a very young age, became parents at a very young age, and learned a lot together at a very young age. However, their pride and joy was their two daughters whom they love to the moon and back, and for two young people they did an awesome role as mom and dad.

Unfortunately, this was their last family picture as well.

Derek & Sue

This is my youngest son Derek and his wife Sue. Derek has no children!

(Need pic of Derek here)

Dawn

And finally this is a pic of my daughter Dawn taken in 2004. Dawn is my only daughter and she is also my baby. Dawn loves working at the Comfort Inn as their Night Monitor. She has developed a clientele that she is extremely dedicated to. She rarely misses a shift, and can do the job of two people. She is also a certified computer technician so she does dual duties at work by fixing the computers when they go down. Her clients who are mostly all miners absolutely adore her.

Great-grandchildren

Last but not least, here is a pics of my  great-grandsons. I have four great-grandsons and we have one that is on the way but is only due in Dec. This pic was taken of my husband, daughter-in-law, myself and my four great-grandsons at the 2013 Christmas parade by a  professional photographer from the Daily Press.

Back row: Husband Claude, DIL June, myself
Front row from L-R: Sayd, Jayden, Chase, & Logan.

New Great-grandbaby

Well my new great-grandson was born on December 12, 2014 and weighted it at 9 lbs. 4 ozs. and was 19 inches long. His name is Dominic Anthony Arthur and he's a living doll...lol I now have 5 great-grandsons and I'm very proud to say that they are all very healthy and happy children.

Welcome to the World Dominic, Nana is very happy to finally meet you.

Another new great-grandbaby

Welcoming another new great-grandson to our growing family. I would like to introduce you to my sixth great-grandson

Dean Tessier-Lajoie

Dean was born on June 28, 2015 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto to

proud parents

Matt Lajoie and Keisha Tessier

Dean weighed in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 in. long.

So far little Dean has struggled through 2 major operation to correct a large hernia and once he grows a little and gains more weight he will have to undergo heart surgery to correct a defective valve. Because the valve will not grow with him he will have to undergo numerous operations to replace the valve until he stops growing at the age of 18. Right now we are trying to raise funds to help pay medical cost and the numerous trips they will have to make back and forth to Toronto for checkups over the next few months. The link to the fundraiser is: http://www.gofundme.com/z7ymqck . Poor little guy! He has a long road ahead of him, but he'll be fine because he's surround by people who love him to the moon and back plus.
