Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

Wishing all my family and friends a very happy Halloween, and I hope they have a wonderful time taking the kids out trick or treating. I see we have some snow, but it's better then rain! At least you won't get wet as fast...lol. Good luck in your travels tonight and please stay safe...remember to carry a flash light and have a few glow sticks hanging from your costume to ensure that those driving vehicles can see you at a glance.

I won a contest...lol

Well I was pretty lucky on Monday. I entered a little Halloween contest on Facebook that was put on by Jane Ashdown from Daz Studio Designs and I won. In order to take part we had to make a Halloween tag using one or more of her Halloween posers, so I submitted the following entry:

A few days later, to my surprise, I get a message stating I that I had won the contest. The prize for winning the contest was two beautiful poser by Jane that were exclusive to the contest and no one else other then the person who won the contest would have these posers. So, I was extremely happy to win because I love Jane's posers. As soon as they arrived I made a tag with the poser for myself and I also made one for Jane as a way of saying, "Thank You." Here is the tag I made with my brand new poser...lol

Isn't she beautiful?

A Cool Frosty Morning

Well its a beautiful frosty morning here, and the weather man is calling for snow. Aren't we the lucky ones? I hate winter because my body can no longer take the cold. I'm getting too old for this type of weather, my body is screaming for sunshine, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon. My little dog Skylar would sure like to see some sunshine as well because not realizing it would get cold so quickly we just had him groomed, and the groomer cut his fur quite short. So, his outing are very quick in and out jobs...lol

I sure hope that we get a decent Indian Summer after our first snow fall since we didn't really have a decent summer or fall. It's pretty much rained for the past two months, so sunshine would be something I would relish for a bit.

Welcome to my blog

Well today is the first day of my new blog. I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to be doing here, but I do know that one of my favorite pass times is creating with Paint Shop Pro and in order to do that I need tubes that are free of charge. So far I have found many websites that offer tubes for free, and thanks to these kind people and their groups I can create to my hearts content.

Part of the reason I got into creating with Paint Shop Pro was to be able to concentrate on something else other then the death of my grandson, my son, and my daughter. Creating has basically saved my sanity after so many devastating losses, and for that I can only thank those who freely shared their tubes and enabled me to be able to create.

Unfortunately, today we mark the 10th anniversary of my 17 year old grandson's death. Andy passed away six days after his 17th birthday. I miss him terrible as he was such a unique person that truly loved life. He was as handsome as they come, he was fun, he was a very hard worker, he was extremely caring, he was very kind for such a young boy, and he was very loved by young and old alike. He will be forever 17 in my eyes and I will love and miss him forever.
